Editorial Policy

This page explains how RentalCooler decides what to publish and how we keep it accurate.

Verified listings only

We list a company only after checking its own website. Every listing shows that source and the date we last checked it. We do not invent businesses, people, ratings, reviews, quotes or prices. The full rules are on how we verify listings.

Sourcing

Prices, sizes, capacities and power requirements come from vendors' own pages and link to them. Summary figures, such as a median daily rate, are computed from those published prices and say how many vendors they cover. When a tool needs an assumption, such as how much space a case of drinks takes, the page states it next to the input so you can change it.

Editorial authorship

Pages with original analysis, such as the price index, are bylined to the RentalCooler editorial team rather than an individual. We describe first-hand experience only when it actually happened.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help find candidate companies, fetch and read their websites, and draft pages. Every listing keeps the exact pages it relies on, so a reader can check any claim against its source.

Updates and corrections

Listings are due for a re-check every 90 days and prices every 60 days. A price older than that is hidden. A page shows an updated date only when its content changed in a way that matters to readers.

Money

Rental Cooler is free for renters. We take no bookings and no payments from renters. Vendors may pay a flat $1 for each quote request routed through the Request quotes button on the refrigerated trailer page. No vendor has been charged so far and the site cannot collect a fee today. If charging starts, this page will say so on the day it does. Rankings, order and placement are never for sale. Companies are listed A to Z unless you choose another sort, a vendor cannot pay to be listed, moved up or removed, and a fee never changes a verified fact in a listing. The site has no affiliate links and no ads. Links to vendor websites are plain links: we earn nothing when you click them. Any other paid feature would be labelled, and none would change the verified facts in a listing.
