About RentalCooler

RentalCooler lists companies that rent mobile cold storage: refrigerated and freezer trailers, portable walk-in coolers and freezers, and refrigerated containers, plus the party-rental shops that rent large ice chests. It covers 11 US metros so far, with 43 verified rental vendors out of the 303 businesses we checked. What counts toward that number is defined on how we verify listings.

It exists because finding cold storage for an event or a broken walk-in usually means calling around: search results are full of single-company city pages and directory listings with no sizes, power needs or prices. Here, each company's own published details sit side by side, with a link to where they came from.

Who runs it

RentalCooler is published by its editorial team rather than a named individual, so every listing shows the vendor page it came from and the date it was checked, and the rules are public in the editorial policy.

How it works

A company is listed only after its own website shows that it rents the equipment and serves the metro. Every listing shows the page we checked and the date. Prices appear only when a vendor publishes them, quoted word for word. The tools use the same data. Read how we verify listings and the editorial policy.

We don't take bookings or payments. To rent, contact the vendor directly using the phone number or website on its listing, or use the Request quotes button on the refrigerated trailer page to write a message to up to three of them.

How the site is paid for

Rental Cooler is free for renters. Vendors may pay a flat $1 per quote request routed through this page; rankings are never for sale and vendors cannot pay to be listed or moved.

Vendors may pay a flat $1 for each quote request routed through the Request quotes button on the refrigerated trailer page. No vendor has been charged so far and the site cannot collect a fee today. If charging starts, this page will say so on the day it does.

Rankings, order and placement are never for sale. Companies are listed A to Z unless you choose another sort, a vendor cannot pay to be listed, moved up or removed, and a fee never changes a verified fact in a listing. There are no ads and no affiliate links today. If that changes, this page will say how.
